Irrigation controller

The irrigation control box between holes #2/7 has been moved 30 feet and elevated roughly 42 inches due to past flooding and the low elevation.  We began by digging a trench to run the wires. Next we had to splice all the irrigation control wires/electrical wires and ran them through a 4 inch solid pipe to the new location of the control box.  After moving the concrete pad and connecting the control box, we then connected the new wires to their proper location.  This change will prevent future flood damage to the electrical components.

Christmas Lights

It's that time of year already!  The hanging of Christmas lights has begun here at Stone Ridge.  As you can see, the carts in the background tell me that we should be golfing instead of hanging lights!  Happy Holidays from the Stone Ridge maintenance department!

Winterizing the irrigation system

Today, November 11, we successfully completed the winterizing of our irrigation system.  This is the first time that I have ever completed this process with golfers on the course.  I'll take this weather any day over snow or freezing rain!

Welcome to the Stone Ridge Golf Course maintenance blog!

My goal with establishing this web page is to inform all members and guests of SRGC about the ongoing improvements taking place within the maintenance department here at Stone Ridge GC.  Things will be slow moving to start, but once this technology becomes more familiar I hope to post pictures to go along with the blogs to pass on as much information as possible as to what is taking place here on the golf course.

Thank you,
